We were up bright and early and rode the monorail from the Ticket and Transportation Center to the entrance of the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. On our journey in, we spotted the first glimpse of the Tron construction site. The Walt Disney World Railroad will be stationary up until about the Tron rollercoaster opens. We strolled down Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom, making our way to Cinderella Castle. On our way to Cinderella Castle, we spotted one of the new Guest Experience Team stations that will be available to park guests at the busiest of times. It was our first time seeing the Let the Magic Begin Welcome Show. I always loved the original welcome show at the train station, but this new version isn’t bad either. It was our first glimpse of Mickey and Minnie in their 90th anniversary celebration attire and they looked great!

We ventured over to the Storybook Circus area of the Magic Kingdom to see Pluto the Wonder-Pup’s new poster. We also noticed that the Casey Jr. Splash ’N’ Soak Station was having some refurbishment done. Alas, it was time to check out the Tron construction site and, wow, has it grown! This is going to be a huge new area in Tomorrowland. The PeopleMover provides a great view of the Tron construction, so we took a spin to check it out. The Tron construction site also has a huge crane that looms right by Space Mountain in Disney World’s Tomorrowland. Pro-tip: if you want a private performance by Sonny Eclipse, visit Cosmic Ray’s first thing in the morning. No one was in there and it was great!

Over in Fantasyland, we noticed Peter Pan searching for someone or something (his shadow, perhaps?). The Sword in the Stone ceremony was going on while we were exploring Fantasyland, as well. The Upper Moreland high school marching band performed in the Magic Kingdom during our visit. They were so good that the Country Bear, Liver Lips, couldn’t help but join in, too! Splash Mountain over in Frontierland at the Magic Kingdom now has extra splash! Folks were watching the ride from farther back than usual because the splash feature now reaches all the way to the onlooker bridge.
